Teaching plans without fixation on single-vendor trivia

By Leo Han

Vendor-specific trivia changes too quickly to anchor a whole curriculum. We focus on invariants: isolation levels, durability tradeoffs, and how storage engines surface symptoms.

When a cohort skews toward one engine, we add optional office hours rather than rewriting core lessons overnight.

Participants still leave with engine-specific cheat sheets, but those sheets are clearly labeled as snapshots, not promises of eternal accuracy.

We welcome employer feedback on which invariants matter most for hiring loops in Seoul and remote teams across APAC.
